Integrity graduate program welcomes new starter

Public Sector Commission

Current ICG Chair, Public Sector Commissioner Mal Wauchope, is pleased to welcome the 2013 ICG graduate David Klup to the ICG two-year graduate program. Although employed by the Public Sector Commission, as the second graduate selected to be part of the program, David will have the unique opportunity to work in key oversight and accountability agencies across the Western Australian public sector.

During each placement David will have the opportunity to strengthen his knowledge of oversight and accountability in government, working on projects that have wide-reaching implications for the sector. The Commissioner remarked, 'Having commenced in the public sector myself through a graduate program, I can personally attest to the benefit and opportunities such a program can present.'

Outgoing ICG graduate Lindon McKenna found the program to be all he had hoped for. 'I have been involved in major projects and meaningful work during each of my placements. I have built on my experiences at each placement and carried them over to the next. The ICG member agencies have been flexible, allowing me to work in areas I am interested in or related to my degree. I recommend the ICG graduate program as one of the best opportunities for graduates in WA.'

The ICG congratulates Lindon on his successful completion of the program. At the end of his final rotation, Lindon secured a permanent role with Ombudsman WA.

The ICG looks forward to David enjoying his work at each member agency.
